Creative workshops: Reflecting on crises, humanity and the digital world
«A woman loading a rose into the magazine of gun at a protest.» These are the keywords one pupil used to express his hopes for a better future, transforming them into a striking image with the help of AI. At the school workshops offered by the Dialogues on Humanity art exhibition, he and his classmates found creative ways to explore their visions of the future, dignity and hope.

The image reflects the turmoil young people feel, as well as their longing for peace. His only criticism of the final result? «The AI didn't show a protest in the background.»
Exhibition «Dialogues on Humanity»
It is one of a host of responses the Dialogues on Humanity exhibition has inspired. Pupils can decide for themselves how they want to express their visions of justice, a better future and humanity through art. The interactive units provide the opportunity for intense exchanges on a range of topics. Participants have imagined nature as a living being, considered topics such as self-determination, empathy and hope for the future, and turned a critical eye to the boundaries between reality, fiction and the digital world.
Workshops for schools
In the workshop ‹Reality and fiction / the digital›, pupils adopted an innovative approach as they examined how the lines between fact and fiction can blur. As well as getting the chance to explore their own ideas about personal development and a better future, they also reflected on how these factors shape their perspective on life. The pupils analysed AI-generated images and learned to recognise the boundaries between real and fictional representations.
And the Dialogues on Humanity exhibition has even more to offer: in workshops titled "The living and nature" and "Hope and dignity", participants take a closer look at fundamental themes of life. In the first of these interactive programmes, young people discover nature as a living being, while the second workshop challenges them to reflect on their own visions of dignity and hope and to express these in artistic form.
As well as providing a space for creative development, the activities also encourage an in-depth examination of the key issues of our time. The workshops support the artistic, social and ethical development of the participants. A unique experience for every school class!
Insight into humanitarian values
The Dialogues on Humanity exhibition focuses on global humanitarian crises and the basic principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It provides a deep insight into the humanitarian values that guide these principles in practice: humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence – values that play a key role in the context of current global challenges.
The interactive programmes give participants the opportunity to reflect on their feelings about and reactions to images of crisis, violence and natural disasters. All school classes are welcome to participate. Contact and registration: EDUKI platform.
