Switzerland’s international cooperation

Alleviating suffering and poverty worldwide, promoting peace and security, and protecting the environment – these are the objectives of international cooperation, which forms an integral part of Switzerland's foreign policy. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is responsible for overall coordination and humanitarian aid.
